About the role

The Technical Accounting Specialist will be part of the Consolidation and Reporting team, and will work on preparing the Kiwa Annual Report, provide guidance to Finance colleagues worldwide, liaise with our parent company SHV, and work on various projects.

• PPA accounting of newly acquired companies;
• Implementation of ESG reporting;
• Implementation of Pillar 2 reporting;
• Mergers and liquidations of Kiwa Group Companies;
• Onboarding of Finance Departments of acquired companies.

Do you have what it takes?

For this position, we'd like you to bring these educational and personal skills:

• Bachelor and/or Master in Finance and/or Accounting preferably combined with a professional chartered accountancy qualification like ACCA or RA;
• Approximately 3 years of professional experience in a similar position or 4 - 5 years with a big Four audit firm;
• Experience in applying IFRS related accounting concepts and rules, including leasing, consolidations, GAAP conversions, fair value assessments, revenue recognition and/or business combination accounting;
• Strong interest in the intricacies of technical accounting;
• Able to translate complex accounting topics in an easy, digestible way to stakeholders;
• Strong communication and influencing skills to inform, explain and persuade a variety of stakeholders on our technical accounting positions and considerations;
• You are fluent in English;
• Team player mentality;
• You are available for 36-40 hours per week;
• You are based in the Netherlands and entitled to work here.

In this full-time role, you will work for the Kiwa Group, headquartered in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. As a member of the Corporate Finance team, you will work for and report to the Head of Group Consolidation and Reporting.
