The role

The Orchestration and Integration (O&I) department within Asset Management COO (AM COO) aims to positively impact the goals and vision of APG Asset Management. O&I contributes to the two strategic pillars: Digitalisation and People & culture, with the objective of delivering a seamless, integrated and sustainable IT experience. We are looking for a Data Integration Solution Engineer to join the Data Platform Team and Data Integration Team in the Orchestration & Integration (O&I) department at APG Asset Management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of data integration solutions at APG while working closely with application teams and enterprise architects.

Within these teams, your role will involve designing a range of products and capabilities so that the entire APG Asset Management Team can build on your work. Specifically, our teams and internal customers will use your results for streaming, ETL, data exchange, data platform management and monitoring.

What you would do

You'll be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and implementing scalable and secure Data Integration solutions in line with business, technical and architectural requirements.
• Collaborating with application teams, solution architects and enterprise architects to ensure the seamless integration of Data Integration solutions into existing systems.
• Providing expert advice on Data Integration services and best practices, ensuring optimal usage and performance.
• Conducting a thorough analysis of technical requirements and proposing effective solutions, taking into account scalability, security and cost efficiency.
• Leading architectural discussions and making recommendations for data integration projects, taking into account the long-term goals of the company.
• Keeping abreast of the latest integration trends, Azure updates and emerging technologies, and incorporating them into solution designs.
• Ensuring that the implementation of technologies follows best practices.

Your office location will be in Amsterdam or Heerlen, depending on where you live.

What you bring

• A master's degree, preferably in business administration, information science, or a similar qualification, or equivalent working-level experience.
• Proven knowledge and experience in designing, implementing and running a Data Platform on MS Azure Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Azure, Data Factory, Databricks, Confluent and Snowflake.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the architecture and development of data integration frameworks using concepts such as CI/CD and IaC.
• Highly developed communication skills in English.
• You live in the Netherlands.
• Experience with the Agile way of working
